Volunteers Make the Difference:

Volunteer Logistics: Coordinate volunteer assignments (4-8 hours a month)

Outreach:  Recruit new athletes and support agencies (4-8 hours a month).

Fund-raising: Coordinate events to raise funds (4-8 hours a month).

Competition Management: Work as part of a committee to plan, organize and conduct events (4 hours a week for 2 months and 2-3 days during the state competition).

Officiating: Referee as a certified official at competitions (5 hours at qualifying events and/or 2-3 days during the state competition).

Medical: Provide medical support at sports events as a medical professional (1 day at qualifying events and/or 2-3 days during the state competition).

Coaching: Organize and run practice sessions; select athletes for qualifying and state competitions; seek certification by attending SOAK Training School (3 hours a week for 12 weeks).

Finance: Facilitate financial details for local area programs (4-8 hours a month). Training Supervise and coordinate training of all coaches and athletes in your area (12 hours a month).

State Sports Director: Coordinate all statewide activities and events associated with a given sport (12 hours a month).

Family Coordination: Coordinate family-oriented events (4-8 hours a month).
Public Relations: Promote awareness of SOAK via publicity and event coverage (4-8 hours a month).

Special Events: Arrange and coordinate event ceremonies (4 hours a week for one month and 2-3 days at the state competition).

Computers: Work in computer programming, registration and data entry (4-8 hours a month and 2-3 days for registration at the state competition).
